A large sized macroporous three-dimensional (3D) SiO2 material has been prepared by using a 3D skeletal polymer as template through surface replica technique in this paper, Using SiO2 as a support, we have prepared TiO2/SiO2 catalyst with a better activity for photo-degradation . the paper further use of the photocatalytic materials based on preparation and assembly of the air cleaning device for a Series of air purification, and get some meaningful data. Details of the research as follows:Under the premise of the experimental group previous work, A large sized macroporous SiO2 support was obtained by using a 3D skeletal poexperimentallymer as template through an in situ sol-gel process of ethyl silicate and a subsequent calcination at a high temperature. Use these macroporous materials as new carrier, we obtained the new macroporous TiO2 photocatalytic material TiO2/SiO2. Through the study found that macroporous SiO2 as carrier material has excellent properties, the new composite material has excellent photocatalytic activity and stability of light.With the TiO2/SiO2 Photocatalysis composite has a large surface area , catalytic efficiency, fast and efficient, stable and enduring characteristics,we prepared the new air purifier for air purification experiments. The air cleaning experiment showed that macroporous catalyst exhibited unusual adsorbtion ability towards small molecular weight substances such as formaldehyde, promoting the rate and quality of air cleaning. The macroporous catalyst could absorb and degrad the tar-like substance, and also adsorb dust in smoking. The catalyst could kill airborne bacteria effectively, it was the macroporous structure that made the catalyst has the bacteria-capturing ability to facilitate the sterilization of nano-TiO2.TiO2 were investigated at different load capacity, ultraviolet light , temperature, humidity, air flow rate and other environmental factors TiO2/SiO2 composite photocatalyst on degradation of formaldehyde. The results showed that exposure to ultraviolet light, the new nano TiO2/SiO2 photocatalyst degradation rate of formaldehyde 96.5%; Reaction temperature increased, removal rate was decreased ;titanium dioxide loading was 55.6%, flow rate of 8 m3 / h, the degradation Formaldehyde was the best; TiO2/SiO2 photo catalytic activity has a long-term stability.
