Solution blowing process is a new nanofiber spinning method which is derived from meltblowing. The process has shown great prospects with its widely raw material, safe operation, easy to mass production, et.. Nowdays the researches of solution blowing are mainly focused on spinning process, fiber structure and performances, however, the research of the nanofiber-formation mechanism hasn’t been involved.Firstly, discussed the influence of different high-speed airflow draft ratio and deawing methods by solution blowing. The results indicated that the high-speed airflow was parallel to draft, the spun nanofiber mat had small pore size, uniform distribution and better crystallization properties. While the high-speed airflow was vertical to draft, the spun nanofiber had fine diameter and poor uniformity.Then, based on the theory of electrostatic separation, discussed the influence of different assisted electrostatic field by introducing an assisted electrostatic field into the solution blowing. The research indicated that the introduction of the assisted electrostatic field could solve the problem of fiber separation, the spun nanofiber was compact and uniform distribution. The response surface method shown that the assisted electrostatic field and the high-speed airflow field could control the fiber crystallization performance in certain ranges.Finally, prepared chitosan/polylactic acid/polyethylene glycol (CS/PLA/PEG) nanofiber mat by the assisted electrostatic field solution blowing, and discussed the influence of the mechanism, water absorption, air permeability and antibacterial properties with different PEG ratios. The results indicated that the obtained nanofiber was smooth and three-dimensional, the diameter was 350 mm, after crosslinked, the water uptake percentage was 983%, the air permeability was 2.03 kg/24h-m2 and the bacteriostasis rate was 90%, so the hydrogel nanofiber mat has potential application in the medical dressings.
