The update of individuals’values makes industry design gets more popular among all various professions. And a better enterprise brand image is created by using the new modeling design. Thus, the innovation of the advanced technology is not the sole criteria any more to identify the excellent product. Under this context, for promoting the products differentiation and enhancing product competitive edge, many textile machinery manufacturing enterprises in china consider it a vital method to increase investment on modeling design and adjust the shape of the product.Many factors can affect the loom modeling design. The relationship between these factors and loom modeling should be deeply understood by industrial designer. And the practical methods are needed to realize the innovation of modeling design. This paper, combined with actual project, studies the methods of loom modeling design, figuring out the airflow generates an impact on loom modeling design. With the combination of theory analysis and modeling principle, paper offers the aerodynamic methods in loom modeling design.Rapier loom is taken as the modeling design object in this paper.And mainly the loom modeling methods are explored based on the knowledge of aerodynamic. Dependent on the theory of general products design method, paper puts forward the loom modeling basic procedures and design constraints, combing with project practice process, figuring out the key factors, which influence the loom product modeling. Through analysis the effect of aerodynamic in textile industry, paper shows the airflow characteristics and principles in the application of modeling. All the mentioned, determines the relationship between modeling design and aerodynamics, and provides the theoretical foundation for a better design. Practice has proven the application of aerodynamics in loom modeling design is an effective way to realize the product innovation.
