Three series of L-di-p-toluoyl-tartaric acid(L-DTTA) lanthanide coordination polymers with different structures, namely, [NdL3(CH3OH)3]n(2),{[LaL(HL)(H2O)5]·H2O}n(Ln = La 1, Eu 4, Gd 5, Tb 6) and {[Ln4K4L6(OH)4(H2O)x]yH2O}n(Ln = Dy 7, x = 20, y = 12; Ho 8, x = 19, y = 12; Ho 9, x = 20, y = 12; Ho 10,x = 20, y = 11; Ho 11, x = 20, y = 12) have been synthesized by facile reactions of H2L(H2L = L-DTTA) with LnCl3·6H2O and different proton agents under ambient temperature. Notably, X-ray diffraction and PXRD power diffraction analysis reveals that complexes 1, 2 and 4-6 show one-dimensional linear chain structures, complxes7-11 show two-dimensional net work structures. Futher, A series of two-component lanthanide complexes {[(SmxLn1-x)2L2(H2O)5]·yH2O}n(Ln = La 14, x = 0.49, y = 1; Ce15, x = 0.49, y = 0.75; Pr 16, x = 0.48, y = 1; Nd 17, x = 0.48, y = 1; Gd 18, x = 0.49, y= 1.25; Dy 19, x = 0.47, y = 0.75; Ho 20, x = 0.51, y = 1; Er 21, x = 0.50, y = 1.25; Yb22, x = 0.51, y = 0.75; Lu 23, x = 0.49, y = 1) and two three-component lanthanide complexes {[Eu0.041Tb0.017La0.942L(HL)(H2O)5]·H2O}n(12) and{[Eu0.027Tb0.028Gd0.945L(HL)(H2O)5]·H2O}n(13) have been synthesized through the doping of lanthanide ions. All complexes have been characterized by ememental adnlysis, IR, UV, PXRD, TG-DSC.The luminescent spectra for single-lanthanide complexes reveal that complexes 2 and 8-10 exhibit Near-infrared emission of Nd3+ ions, Ho3+ ions, Er3+ ions and Yb3+ ions; complexes 1 and 5 display the intense ligand-centered blue emission; complex 7 shows single- component white light.The luminescent spectra for lanthanide-mixed complexes suggest that thecharacterized emission from Sm3+ ion of complexes Sm-Ln enhanced gradually by the doping of Ln3+ ions; complexes 12 and 13 display color-tunable luminescence from yellow, white to blue under variation of excitation wavelength, notably, high-purity white light emission have been obtained.
