As the core component of the machine tool, the performance of the spindle system has a direct impact on the processing performance of the machine.Therefore,it is crucial to study the design and the dynamic and static characteristics. The paper takes the spindle system of HGM50 horizontal machining centeras the research object, focuses on the selection of the spindle, the dynamic and static characteristics analysis,and weaks links optimization.According to the manufacturing process of car engine cylinder block and cylinder head, determined the main performance indicators of the spindle type selection and established index evaluation system. Quoted the intuitionistic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (IFAHP) that Xu Ze-shui latest improved, pointed out the defects of the score function and the new score function is given. The optimal scheme of electric spindle is determined based on intuitionistic fuzzy preference relation judgment matrix.The finite element dynamic model of the spindle system is established based on virtual material layer. Finite element modal analysis and modal test of the headstock-lead screw-slide block system. The finite element simulation results are compared with the modal test data, in order to verify the correctness of finite element model. Analysis dynamic and static characteristics of the spimdle system, the low order frequencies, vibration and the static stiffness of the tool equivalent parts modes of the spindle system are obtained.The harmonic response of the spindle system is analyzed, and the resonance frequency of the spindle system is obtained. The influence of each link of the spindle system on the resonance frequency is compared, inorder to identify the weak links of the structure of the spindle system. Sensitivity analysis was used to optimize the parameters of the headstock structure. Studied on the influence of the surface stiffness on the dynamic characteristics of the main shaft system, then, combinated the orthogonal test and gray correlation method to optimize the contact stiffness of joint surface.
