With the rapid development of Chinese auto industry, the traditional method of manual loading can not meet the need of automobile covering part. Automatic press production line not only reduces the production cost, but also improves the product quality and production efficiency, so it receives enterprise’s favor more and more. Based on large stamping machine, a set of automatic feeding system was designed for automotive cover panel punching process.Firstly, the whole layout and total structure of auto transmitting system were completed through the analysis of system requirements. And according to the automotive cover panel punching process, the work cycle and the control system scheme were designed. Secondly, hydraulic pressure loop, pneumatic, vacuum circuit and AC servo system were shown in terms of driving modes. In addition, a control strategy based on fuzzy auto-setting PID was proposed aiming at overcoming inefficiency and unstable of positioning cylinder. The dissertation has made study on mathematics module of this system and established a simulation model by means of MATLAB/Simulink, which has guaranteed stability and fast response of positioning system for cylinder. Finally, the hardware circuit, the control functions and the design of human machine interface have been realized.After a period of commission and operation, the design of auto transmitting system meets with punching process requirements of auto panel part, which has some reference values for design and practical engineering application of automatic press production line.
