There are a lot of problems in the current technology or methods of a large number of special-shaped work pieces which includes water taps, door handles, end caps manufacturing, such as:uncompleted polishing,Over polishing, under polishing and part damage in vibration polishing;dead angle,uncompleted polishing and low efficiency in mechanical polishing;poor quality, low efficiency high noise and high dust in manual polishing;high cost, serious environment pollution, complex post-processing in special polishing and so on. To seek the improvement way From the polishing principle and the polishing method, at first, inductive analysis the existing polishing technology and the principle, especially,a deep analysis and Research on the vibration lapping technology which can adapt to the special shaped curved surface is made, know advantages of the technology, then pointed out the contact pressure on the surface of the workpiece, and the polishing parameters are not controlled is the root cause of the poor quality; secondly, On the basis of above analysis, give full play to the advantages of vibration lapping and polishing and set out to solve the disadvantages, so a new polishing method based on translational motion was put forward, then the mechanism of translational polishing and implementation techniques carried out theoretical analysis and concrete structure design. it is provided the new idea and feasible solution concept proposed for translational polishing grinding and polishing of free-form surface.In summary, the main research contents of this paper can be briefly classified as the following:1) For the first time put forward by combining the translational rotational grinding medium way to solve large-scale problems of free surface polishing irregular workpieces. With the help of translational rotational unique and trajectory, and speed, without dead angle of the advantages, in order to be able to guarantee to be polished special-shaped workpiece in the surface at any point by force and velocity are consistent; At the same time, the polishing trajectory of any point is consistent with the overall situation; In other words, the polishing parameters on the surface of the workpiece to be processed are consistent, which can ensure the consistency of the polishing quality, thus make up the deficiency of the existing polishing technology.2) The polishing mechanism of shaped workpiece is studied and analyzed. From the use of environment, cost, efficiency, performance and other aspects of the comprehensive comparison of various programs, then selected out of the best design and overall layout and structural design; According to the theoretical model derived from the part of the design parameters to improve the performance of the power mechanism, the transmission mechanism, the executive body; Ergonomic design makes the equipment more humane, to provide more better working environment for the operator; At the same time, it points out the key factors of the equipment parts.4) Comprehensive analysis with finite element analysis software the core components of the equipment. Including the strength, stiffness and modal analysis of the parts in the work to test the rationality of design in structure and material selection; Also according to the results of the analysis of equipment structure model was further optimized, so that equipment design tends to be more reliable and feasible, for further development of practical equipments based on translational grinding and polishing of the foundation.
