With special surface structure components have a wide range of applications in aerospace,mould,automobile and other fields,its surface quality has a decisive role in overall performance of parts or equipment,so the surface precision processing become a very important topic in the field of modern manufacturing.To explore the effectiveness of polishing the special-shaped surface by abrasive flow,this paper mainly discusses the technology study of abrasive flow polishing the impeller blade,helical gear tooth and rifled tube with polygon screw surface,through the flow field numerical simulation in different inlet velocity or different inlet pressure boundary conditions,obtained the dynamic pressure,turbulence kinetic energy,turbulence intensity,wall shear stress and other turbulence state parameter near the wall,then analyzed the effect of polishing workpiece surface by abrasive flow.In order to improve the utilization rate of abrasive,enhance the effect of grinding fluid acting on the wall,through placing profiling restraints mould in the flow channel reduce the flow cross-sectional area that improve the uniformity of abrasive flow polishing surface.According to the results of numerical analysis,using polygonal screw surface rifled tube as test samples,flow polishing experiment was carried out under the condition of different inlet pressure,different processing time,different particle volume fraction of abrasive,obtained the surface roughness and surface topography of the workpiece under different processing conditions,workpiece surface roughness before processing is 1.45?m,then down to 0.296?m after abrasive flow polishing,the removal effect of burr on inner surface is obvious,meanwhile the whole surface is also becoming more finishing.Through the numerical simulation and experimental analysis of polishing special-shaped surface by abrasive flow,it is known that the abrasive flow can be used to polish the special-shaped surface,which can provide technical support for the development of polishing abnormity surface.
