1,8-Naphthyridine compounds have attracted great interest due to their special conjugate π electronic structures, good coordination capabilities, excelent photophysical and photochemical properties. This mades them have potential applications as functional materials in the fields of solar energy conversion, sensors, supramolecular assemblies, photocatalysis, nonlinear optical materials and optical molecular devices etc. Introduction of C=N bond on 1,8-naphthyridine rings can form various Schiff base derivatives owning N-hybrid conjugate π electron system,Recognition for metal ions of the compounds and the effect of solvent on spectral properties have been investigatd. We have synthesized two naphthyridine-BF2 complexes, five ligands based on 2,7-R-1,8-naphthyridine complexes, one new 1,8-naphthyridines schiff base, two cobalt porphyrin complexes with phosphate groups, their structures and spectroscopic properties are and characterized. some significant results were obtained as follows:1. We obtained new BF2 core complexes containing 1,8-naphthyridine building blocks C1、C2. Two new fluorescence compounds exhibit good spectroscopic and electrochemical properties.2. The 2,7-R-1,8-naphthyridine complexes C3 、 C4 、 C5 、 C6 、 L1 were successfully obtained from corresponding naphthyridine derivatives. The complexes were characterized by1 H NMR ESI-MS spectroscopy. The same reactants in various conditions can products a variety of different products. The changed experimental methodscan result in the improvement of the selectivity and yield.3. One new 1,8-naphthyridine schiff base compound C7 is synthesized. Its UV-visible absorption spectra, fluorescence emission spectra, IR spectra, used as fluorescent probe metal ions such as Mg2+ and the solvent effect is carried out. The results showed that the characteristic absorption peaks of IR spectrum changes after forming schiff base, the mechanistic investigation reveals PET proccess.4. Two cobalt porphyrin complexes with phosphorus group C8 、 C9 aresynthesized, their structures are characterized by 1H NMR, 13 C NMR, phosphorus spectroscopy. Crystal structure of C9 is determined by X-ray diffraction.Photocatalytic investigation shows that the complexes exhibit good catalytic activity for the reduction carbon dioxide.
