With the development of supramolecular macrocyclic chemistry, schiff base macrocyclic compounds have been the focus of considerable attention as supramolecular macrocyclic host molecules due to their distinctive spatial structure, host-guest and physicochemical properties. In recent years, the application field of schiff base macrocyclic compounds was expanded by the research of schiff base macrocyclic compounds’metal complexes and secondary amines,getting by reduction of Schiff base. Therefore, the design and synthesis of schiff base macrocyclic compounds become hot issue in the field of macrocyclic chemistry and organic chemistry.This dissertation was divided into three sections. The main contents and conclusions were listed as following:1. We summarized the development and research situation of schiff base macrocyclic compounds. Furthermore the synthetic methods including the template and the non-template method were introduced in detail. Meanwhile, the methods and applications of the secondary amines macrocyclic were introduced.2.1,2’-(ethane-1,2-diylbis(oxy))dibenzaldehyde was a kind of intermediate which was synthesized by the reaction of salicylaldehyde with1,2-dibromoethane. By non-template method, five novel [2+2] schiff base macrocyclic compounds L1~L5were synthesized by the reaction of the intermediate with p-phenylenediamine,4,4’-diaminodiphenyl methane,4,4’-diaminodiphenyl ether benzidine,and m-phenylenediamine respectively. The the two [1+1] schiff base macrocyclic compounds L6and L7were synthesized by the reaction of the intermediate with ethyl enediamine and o-phenylenediamine respectively. The compound L6was synthesied successfully under the condition of acetic acid. The metal complexes were synthesized by L1and L2with Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, Zn(NO3)2·6H2O and Cu(NO3)2·3H2O. We obtained the macrocyclic compounds which have better stability and flexibility structure by reducting L1、L2、L3、L4.3. The applications of three kinds of compounds were studied. By the analysis of UV-vis spectras,we concluded that the schiff base macrocyclic compounds and secondary amine macrocyclic compounds had no effection or a little effection on Na+, Mg2+and Li+, but their had obvious effection on Fe3+and Cu2+. Then the three kinds of compounds were used in vitro antibacterial experiments by Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.The antibacterial effect was displayed as fellows:schiff base macrocyclic complexes> schiff base macrocyclic>secondary amine macrocyclic; Bacillus subtilis> Escherichia coli> Staphylococcus aureus.
