As a result of unreasonable exploitation, backward mining technology, mining the rich abandoned the poor,mining the easy abandoned the difficult,mining without planning of many mining enterprises, many ore pillars formed and at the same time wasted a lot of resources.In recent years with digital mine technology developing rapidly and becoming more mature, computer simulation and visualization technology provide a guarantee for determine the ore pillar shape and distribution in three dimensional space, promote development of ore pillar safe and efficient recycling technology, increase the economic benefits and improve the technology and management level of the mining enterprise.Based on the study status of pillar recycling, development trends, analysis of the problems, combined with the specific example of Tangdan copper mine, the paper study and explore all kinds of technology problems in the procession of ore pillars recycling, create all the three dimensional visualization model entities of mine project by using the large software DIMINE. With this technology, make pillar visualization recycling design and estimate the volume of the remaining ore of Tangdan copper mine in the real three dimensional environment, the study results have played a guiding role for the mine actual production, the main results and achievements of this paper is as follows:1. Comprehensive analysis the technology status, development trends and problems in the procession of ore pillar recycling.2. analysis the geological characteristics of Tangdan copper mine, create three dimensional visualization models of all kinds of geological entities, mine projects, ground surfaces, houses, highways by using the large software DIMINE.3. Make the real characteristics of the mine goafs measurement by using CMS detection equipment and create the three dimensional visualization pillar models of the whole copper mine based on the three dimensional mine models.4. Based on the three dimensional visualization models of the ore pillars and existence projects and combined with various mine geological entities distribution, study the ore pillars recycling methods and calculate the amount of the left ore.This study indicates that three dimensional visualization technology provides a good method for ore pillar recycling, from the long term development of mining industry, it is a good new and effective mine solution method.
