Super-fine powders are usually defined as a material with special function, widely used in the areas of fine ceramics, electron element and organism engineering。With the development of high technique and new material, the needs for super-fine powders are increasing. But the classification can't reach the requirement now。In order to solve the problems in the classification area, the classification features of mini-cyclones were studied to separate super-line powders about 1μm from fine powders. Not only for the purpose of gas-cleaning, but also for the collection of the useful powders. First, a 2D maths model of cyclones for separating is set up. Three different mini-cyclones are designed for separating the super-fine powders, and experiments for mini-cyclones are done.The theory studies and experiment materials show that:The super-fine powders can be classified by the mini-cyclones. The cutting-diameter can reach 0.6-0.8μm, which is a value that the traditional equipment can not reach. The cyclones have the advantages of simple configuration, convenient operation, etc. It's feasible to use mini-cyclones as the primary equipments in the classification area for super-fine powder. The experiment data show that: The relationship between the classification efficiency of cyclones and stk numbers is similar with theory formula, is a linear function of stk number in the Rosin-Rammlar coordinates. Use similarity number——stokes number to study the classification capacity of cyclones can reduce the amount of the work for the experiments. The new theory which is much closer to the experiment value than "Rotate theory" and "Sieving theory" can calculate the classification efficiency relatively accurately. When use mini-cyclones to classify the powders, the suitable inlet velocity is suggested from 15 to 20m/s.This paper select 1# antaciron furnace Mongolia Yanleixin ferroalloy plant as the research object. Follow the purpose and parameter, we set the corresponding flow. Use mini-cyclones as pretreatment while bag house filter as main treatment.After analyses through economy facet, we can find that this flow can reach good result in economy, this technology can be used in practice.
