In this thesis, according to the theory of desulfurization in hot metal, the effect of composition of desulfurizer and quantity of the inputting desulfurizer and desulfuration time for result of desulfurization for blast furnace dreg iron are studied in this thesis. At last, fix on the process of desulfurization for the blast furnace dreg iron and desulphurizing agent, in order to make the hot metal after desulfurization be produced into cast.The most popular applying method of desulfurization in industry is desulfurizing out of the furnace. The desulfurizer is mostly based on Calcium oxide, Calcium carbide and Magnesium. The main desulfurizer used in this experiment is desulfurizer based on Calcium oxide with different proportion other composition.The content of C, Si, Mn in blast furnace dreg iron is low, which make the result of desulfurization bad. If putting in desulfurizer directly, the best desulfurization rate is 28% in experiment. After adjusting the chemical composition, promoted the content of C, Si, Mn, result of desulfurization is evidently promoted. Desulfurization rate is from 68-74%.The experiment shows that the best parameter is:the inputting desulfurizer is 3-5%, desulfurization time less than 10 minutes. The best result of desulfurization in experiment is S% from 0.63% to 0.16%. The best desulfurization rate is 74%. Base on these results, adjusting the chemical composition of blast furnace dreg iron, get almost HT200 chemical composition grey casting iron.
