Rosin which is cheap reproducible resource has been abroad researched in medicament synthesis as a chiral group. In this dissertation,13-Isopropylpodcarpa-8,11,13-trien-15-oic acid were used as a chiral group which came from rosin to synthesize three monomers, and their characters were analyzed. Another work in this dissertation is that a sort of new side-chain liquid crystal polymer in which peptide is his main-chain. A supermolecule which contained carboxyl and amido was synthesized. The research achievement had not only important theoretical purpose, but also provided technological support to study their application in piezoelectric areas. The monomers in this paper contain:4-abietic-4'-allyloxyl benzoic propionic biphenylol (Mi),4-allyloxybenzoyl biphenyl abietic acid ester (M2),4-abieticbiphenyl-4'-carbonylsebac ic acid (M3),4-(4-allyloxyl benzoic propionic)-4'-biphenylcarboxylic acid (M4), 4-(4-(undecylen-1-yloxybenzoyloxy)phenyl) phenyl-4'-metholsebacate (M5),6-(amido)-1-cholesteryl caproate (M6),4-allyloxylbenzoic acid (M7). Moreover, the obtained monomers and all the polymers, except M5 and M7, are novel. The structures and properties of the obtained monomers and polymers, were investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy,1H-NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA), and polarizing optical microscopy (POM). Their structure-property relationships were discussed in detail. The research achievement had not only important theoretical purpose, but also provided technological support and experience to study chiral liquid crystal.
