Ce(NO3)3·6H2O, Mg(NO3)2·6H2O, Al(NO3)3·6H2O were used as raw materials and NH3·H2O as precipitant, the chemical precipitation method was used to produce precursos. The spheric CeMgAl11O19 powder was obtained with heat preservation for an hour at 1300℃and the averaged particle size was about 38 nm. Sintering temperature was decreased effectively. The powder was characterized by the methods of thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and laser particle analysis (LPA).With CeO2,MgO,Al2O3 as raw materials, the spheric CeMgAl11O19 phosphor is produced by the high temperature ball milling method at 1100℃and the averaged particle size is about 80 nm. The preparation and properties of rare earth phosphors and high temperature ball milling method were also reviewed. Against limitations of conventional preparing methods, this work united the chemical precipitation methods with high temperature ball milling methods by means of two steps method of preparing precursos and ball milling thermal decomposition. Then, the CeMgAl11O19 rare earth green phosphors were obtained. With Ce(NO3)3·6H2O, Mg(NO3)2·6H2O, Al(NO3)3·6H2O as raw materials and NH3·H2O as precipitant. The chemical precipitation method was used to produce precursos. The spheric CeMgAl11O19 powder was obtained by the high temperature ball milling for an hour at 900℃the averaged particle size was about 53 nm. It can be seen that the sintering temperature was decreased with this method and the CeMgAl11O19 powder with minor diameter and uniform dispersion was obtained.Through the present study of using high temperature ball milling to prepare rare earth phosphors in this thesis, the method or measure about the research of rare earth phosphors was developed.
