Based on MAC modified SMA overlay of State Road 205 QingYun-Line project, the MAC modified SMA mixture of materials selection, functional properties, as well as SMA mix design methods are summed up. Through comparative analysis of different SMA mix design methods, in view of the main problems of SMA design method in our country, the formation of SMA embedded skeleton crowded judgment theory are studied, which put forward a combination of field trials target SOC control in order to as an important criterion for determining the best embedded SMA skeleton. Combined with the engineering project, the problems in the actual construction process are shown. According to the latest technical specifications, traditional construction management methods are optimized. Statistical quality control principles and SPC techniques are applied to the quality management of overlay construction process, which can form the optimization theory of SMA overlay construction management and process control methods. Taking the compaction degree of overlay for example, the dynamic graph model of the construction process management quality is set up, that is x-R control chart model of the sample overlay. The target degree of compaction (porosity) is test. Through the process capability analysis and quality of abnormal diagnosis, the influencing factors of compaction are analyzed and adjusted, which can achieve the effective dynamic control of construction quality. The life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) theory is applied to the general benefits analysis of SMA overlay. Combined with the different features of overlay pavement performance and the new road, based on the decay characteristics of using performance about asphalt overlay, with the simplification and deformation of uncertainty analysis theory in economics, the life cycle cost analysis model of overlay is established, which is a scientific and reasonable system for overlay general benefits evaluation.
