The process planning has two basic purposes:one of them is to ensure the developers can finish design tasks within the time and place allowed, and the other one is to enable the developers to get the design information without delay, which can make them reasonable allocate the resource. Therefore, to improve the method of process planning can achieve the reasonable allocation of tasks and the optimizing dispatch of resource. It supplies an effective shortcut to reduce the cycle of product development and at the same time enhance the development efficiency.On the foundation of the research of collaborate design, task decomposition and reorganization, task grouping and allocation and process monitoring, framework of process management system was established, the triple architecture of networking collaborate design was introduced, and focus on the research of process planning subsystem. Decompose the tasks layer by layer, and utilize the DSM method to finish the reorganization of tasks. The genetic algorithm is used to solve the multi-objective optimization problem in task grouping. The genetic operators were designed and the optimization flow was developed. Established the assessment system for the task group and designer group, and based on this, dispatched the tasks by precedence matrix. Introduced the status and logic of product development process execute. The essential content of process monitoring is discussed. The method of process reuse based on design history management is presented, and implement the case search by case library and knowledge dictionary.
