With the modularization and the widely used of the Li-ion batteries, the length of life and safety capability of Li-ion batteries have become the primary problems to hinder development, that is because the difference of battery. The intelligent management system can reduce the difference between batteries and greatly improve the batteries performance, so the study of intelligent management system of Li-ion batteries becomes more and more important.The intelligent management system of Li-ion batteries, including the charge method, the electric quantity gauge system, the equalization control system and the design of the hardware and the software, was studied in this paper, finally the intelligent management system was designed and P89LPC932 single chip as the control core.The charge and discharge characteristic of the Li-ion batteries, estimating the state of charge and the equalization control technologies were studied in theory in this paper, we proposed a method that had three phases including pre-charge, constant current charging, constant voltage charge, and established the compound surplus capacity forecasting method combining methods of open-circuit voltage, Ah-time and Kalman filtering law, and design the most simple and practical equalization circuit consisted of shunt resistance. In hardware, the characteristics of single chip was introduced in detail, we carefully designed the power supply circuit, the sample circuit of voltage and current and temperature of the Li-ion batteries, the charge control circuit, LCD display circuit, data storage circuit, clock circuit, these ensured the intelligent management system of Li-ion batteries has good performance and work reliably and stably; The program module was used in software, and the main module function and the program flow chart were introduced in this paper, including the main program of the system, the voltage measurement and control program, the current measurement and control program, the temperature measurement and control program, and the software anti-jamming was design to improve the anti-jamming ability of the system.
