Along with the development of technology such as computer, artificial intelligence and self-piloting, the type of the unmanned aerial vehicles is increasing and the performance is better day by day. In order to ensure that the unmanned aerial vehicle carries out aerial mission effectively, people use the multiform ground-based navigation control systems to carry on the real-time monitoring to status of unmanned aerial vehicle. The ground-based navigation control system, which controls the entire function of the unmanned aerial vehicle system, directly influences overall system performance. Therefore it is the important component of entire unmanned aerial vehicle system.The subject, which researches and designs software of the ground-based navigation and control system for unmanned aerial vehicle based on the researching project of unmanned aerial vehicle in our school, aims to realize the automated trajectory planning and the real-time navigation and control for the unmanned aerial vehicle in order to ensure that it can complete the aerial mission successfully.The paper first introduces the topic background and the significance, then it researches the technology of trajectory planning, GIS and the data communication, on the basis of comparing the characteristic of each technology, this paper determines the implementation plan of technical.The paper mainly researches on trajectory planning algorithm. Based on the thorough analysis of principle of A-start algorithm, this paper presents a solution to improve the speed of the algorithm by using the smallest heap sort. And the algorithm is further optimized to meet constraints of the actual flight mission and self performance. Then, the paper also proposes a comprehensive approach to smoothing the track. And the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.At last, combined with the project requirements and design principles, this paper presents overall design of ground-based navigation control systems for unmanned aerial vehicle, then it chooses database, database access technology and detailed design database logic structure. Based on the design, the paper presents the developing methods of the main function modules and respectively completes the system's online testing and offline testing.This design proposal has satisfied with request of trajectory planning and realized the real-time navigation and control for unmanned aerial vehicle, so it achieves the expectation effect of the paper.
