Energy crisis and environmental pollution become increasingly prominent. Therefore, the new power car to carry out research has been pressing. Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) comes to the fore depending advantages that's high efficiency, energy saving, low pollution, which has become perfect transition from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles. HEV has a very good application prospect in improving economic performance and reduced emissions, etc.At first, the kinds of HEV are introduced, and then a hybrid-type driving method has been chosen after a comparative analysis of varieties of drive types.Then a multi-energy HEV power system's overall design is introduced as well as the overall structure of hybrid electric vehicle drive system. In this paper, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is selected to be drive motor, whose small ripple torque, power density, high control precision. And we focus on the PMSM control system hardware design that include main circuit, IPM driver circuit, detection circuit.The fault protection circuitry is designed in order to work security and stability. We analyzed and compared the PMSM control strategy on the basis of having studied its structure,operation principle,mathematical model.DTC is applied to PMSM control system. A PMSM DTC block diagram is designed and made a system simulation using MatLab.A fuzzy control neural network intelligent combination of direct torque control method was presented and adopted neural network based on the ant colony optimization algorithm to establish a flux observer. Then we describe the process of the algorithm implementation and make simulation experiments, simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithm. Compared with conventional systems, its dynamic response has speed, torque ripple has changed smaller, and steady-state performance has been improved.
