A new technology of Automotive Industry, Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), which having characteristics of low pollution and tow fuel consumption, just becomes an international and national focus. Drive Motor being a main department of HEM plays an important part in HEV development. So research and analysis on Drive Motor have a great significance. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) has high work efficiency, high power density. It is easy to regulate speed. So it becomes the first choice of HEV drive motors.This thesis mainly based on Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) which is used on Hybrid Electric Vehicle. The main tasks covered as fellow:Firstly through comparing the difference of kinds of motors' performance, PMSM is chosen as drive motor on HEVSecondly, the mathematical models of PMSM are set up based on the motor electromagnetism, and an in-depth research is conducted on PMSM DTC. And a kind of control method that is suitable for HEV of the DTC theory in PMSM is narrated detailedly.Then based on analysing the HEV's running status, the paper gives the design of the PMSW's rated parameters, and estimates the parameters of the power accumulator. Based on the scheme, the simulation model for PMSM DTC is set up using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results verify adequately the virtue of DTC. This part is the emphasis of the paper.Lastly, the author designs the hardware and software of the drive system, and gives the struction of the hardware and the flow of the software.
