It was South China that suffered rare freezing weather disaster in early 2008, which affected widelyfrozen gravityily, long time, and suffered serious losses. Disease of Highway increased quickly afterdisaster, which affected directly the life of pavement and service performance.The pavement material would be in low water condition long time and temperature alternate processwhen terrible weather occured, the freeze-thaw damage was very prevalent. the freezing and thawing mayaccelerate the development of cracks and other pavement defects under the role of external factors such astraffic loading and water. To obtain the characteristics of road materials under freeze-thaw damage and thelaw of development in this paper, we studyed the attenuation law of mixture asphalt performance underfreeze-thaw cycle by the laboratory test and theoretical analysis with the pavement damage investigationafter the snow disaster.This paper investigated and analyzed the main climatic features during the ice disaster in 2008, asfollows the difference in daily temperature, precipitation characteristics, duration with the commoncharacteristics of snow-ice climate in the northern high latitudes. This paper investigated for the test roadsections of typical disease on site after the disaster, and analysised systematicly the impact and mechanismof the snow disaster for Highway Asphalt Pavement by excavation, sampling, and decay law of asphalpavement materials performance post-disaster , studyed typical disease causes and mechanism of increasedexpansion for the asphalt pavement .It designed Interior freezing-thawing repeatedly test method, and done 0, 5, 10, 15 freeze-thaw cyclesfor mixture. It was done compression strength, indirect tensile strength, tensile test, the water stability tesafter different freezing-thawing cycles, the attenuation characteristics and raw of the performance of asphalmixture with freeze-thaw cycle was got.Taking into account the void was important factor on resistancefreeze-thaw performance of asphalt mixtures, this paper done fatigue test under different void asphalspecimens obtained the relationship between the freeze-thaw fatigue life and freeze-thaw cycles underdifferent void mixture .It setted pavement ice-expansion mode consider the layer water, by simplifying the simulationanalysised response of asphalt pavement under ice frozen water partia by Finite element method.
