Concrete durability is one of the world-wide concerned problems in the field of the structure engineering. These bridges had been inevitably damaged because of design or construction problems, material erosion deterioration and overload etc., and their bearing capacity decreased. The key to rational use these bridges is further studying their bearing capacity. It is an urgent task for us. However, reinforcement corrosion is an important factor for the existing RC bridge'bearing capacity. It is particularly impotant to the research on Ultimate bearing capacity of corroded damage reinforced concrete (Rc) arch,If the relationship between concrete corrosive crack widthes and steel corrosion extent is built, not only the foundation for quantitative analysis of structure's durabilitydeteriorated safety degree is laid, but also the basis of estimating the steel corrosioncondition of working structures based on detecting the crack width is provided. On the existing research basis ,combining with the Western Communications Construction Scientific and Technological Project, following researches were done in this thesis:1)The variation regularity of the ultimate bearing capacity of corroded damage Rc arch with different corrosion has been obtained through the qualitative analysis of 4 arch (3 corroded archs and 1 comparing arch) with accelerated corrosion; The load-displacement and load-strain relationships are explored, strain of corroded steel bar no longer fit in with the assumption of plane section through the analysis of the strain data, although strain of concrete fit in with the assumption of plane section through the analysis of the strain data. reinforced concrete (Rc) arch'mechanical properties, failure mode, bearing capacity deterioration law, the formation and development of cracks and the influence of the corrosion to the development of cracks were experimental studied.2) Stress field is analyzed using elastic mechanics, The conclusion has been obtained that the simulation results and test results are in consistence .3) Based on test results of steel bar and concrete at yield and ultimate, and the model for the calculation of the flexure ductility has been built. The variation character of flexure ductility of different corrosion beam has been analyzed through the experiment.
