Based on the controlling project of the consequent bedding rock slope with steep dip-angle in the highway from Shizhu to Zhongxian in Chongqing, this paper studied the distortion failure mechanism and rational distribution of controlling measures of the slope by multiple methods, such as field survey, lab-test, engineering geology analysis and numerical simulation analysis.1 .On the basis of engineering geological environmental of the landslide and high slope along the expressway, the slope was classified into four types by its structural features. The engineering geology characters and deformation and failure patterns of each types are described as well.2. The paper studied and summarized the major influence factors of stability and the deformation types and failure modes of consequent bedding rock slope with steep dip-angle. The deformation types include collapse, landslide and toppled deformation. The distortion destruction pattern take upside slipping along the stratification plane and lower part crushed and sheared as a characteristic.3. Thesis discussed the distortion failure mechanism of consequent bedding rock slope with steep dip-angle, from the stress state and failure process two aspects, and summarized its different stress area distortion characteristic. Its distortion destruction process are divided into tension fracture and collapse, extrusion and bumping , the overall instability three stages. And then the paper simulated the distortion failure mechanism of the slope by FLAC-3D4. This paper summarized the rational combination forms of controlling engineering measures for the slope, deduced that four combination forms, for example, support and anchoring, systematical anchoring, stepped support, load-off and support. In the end, simulated the control effects of the slope supported by different combination forms by FLAC-3D .The result indicated that, the"micro pile + prestressing anchoring"controlling combination forms is more reasonable and more effective in the control project of the consequent bedding rock slope with steep dip-angle.
