With the advance of urbanization and western region development, large-scaleconstruction projects are emerging. China is a mountainous country, large number andscale of rock slope projects emerge with amounts of constructions. It has investigatedafter the slop is excavated. If the bedding slopes with security risks dealt with untimelyand inappropriate, it is inclined that the slopes will damage. At present, there are fewresearch about gently inclined bedding slope. Deep research of gently inclined beddingslope’s deformation mechanism and countermeasures is significant. This dissertationcombining with engineering project to study gently inclined bedding slope’sdeformation mechanism by methods of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.And selecting a reasonal support measure on the basis.To prove the reasonablenessthrough practical monitore result.The main work is summarized as follows:①Summary of current situation of gently inclined bedding slope’s deformationmechanism, main analysis methods and controlling measures. Based on that the mainresearch contents and technical route is proposed.②Through theoretical analysis the deformation and failure machanisms of gentlyinclined bedding slope can be summarized. Based on that, to analyze gently inclinedbedding slope’s destruction model the excavation disturbed zone will be obtained. Atlast, based on that main factors affect slope’s stability and weak sections’ hazardcontrolling over slope’s destruction is analyzed.③Building numerical simulation model combining with actual project’s gentlyinclined bedding slope through ANSYS software.To analyzed its distortion destructionmechanism and evoluation. Comparing the numerical simulation results with theoreticalanalysis, then the deformation and failure machanisms of gently inclined bedding slopetheoretical analysis will be obtained.④Making generation on countermeasures of gently inclined bedding slope.Combining the charactetistics of the actual project, then propose the cross anchorretaining wanll and construction technology of dual controlling method. To monitor theeffects of the countermeasure in actual project, then make the assessment about controlmeasure.Through all above studies, results of numerical simulation fit the theoretical results.Relevant analysis of numerical simulation and theoretial are applied to engineering project. Long-time monitoring data has proved the effects of control measures to theproject. This study could provide some reference for the design and construction ofprojects which have gently inclined bedding slope.
