According to the rapid development on energy conservation to reduce emissions, as a key equipment in energy conversion, industrial steam turbine play a important role in by-product heat and pressure industry. On the one hand the types of driving industrial steam turbine instead of motor drive like blower, compressor and pump. On the other hand the type of power industrial steam turbines uses waste heat in steel and chemical industry to generate electricity, improved energy efficiency. Steam turbine rotor as industrial turbine important components, related to be safe and smooth operation, which is a key part of the industrial steam turbine design.Rotor dynamics calculation software is designed by MATLAB using the finite element method. The software includes the effects moment of inertia, gyroscopic moment, equivalent damping and stiffness of bearing. The data which system required import outside program as Excel file. After completion of the calculation setting, software can quickly calculate results. The calculation samples show that software has high accuracy within error. Based on the actual industrial turbine rotor the calculation and analysis in different conditions, this paper summarizes the different factors influencing the rotor critical speed influence.The dynamic drawing of non-standard impulse type steam turbine thermal equilibrium diagram is an important part of thermal design. Through establishing the standardized legend libraries in advance, the dynamic drawing of industrial steam turbine thermal equilibrium diagram is achieved based on ActiveX Automation communication standard. The dynamic drawing system can seamlessly integrate with thermal design software, and draw thermal equilibrium diagram of different conditions or different units. The manipulation is simple, efficient, and drawing specific, so it is a very good development tool to improve efficiency for designers.
