Cellular component is steel component holed in web. It is welded staggeredly by H-steel or I-steel cut into two parts along certain line or circular arc. It is also can be drilled on section-steel according to certain requirements. It has been widely used in flexural members of large span on account of its material saved and easily crossed by pipelines.Cellular component's application is expanded to be used in frame beam and frame column. Cellular steel frame has been applied in many high-rise steel structure in Japan and some European countries, at the same time some corresponding design specifications and construction standards been established. In recent years, the cellular component is applied in the door frame structure in China whith has brought good social and economic benefits. However, there is no corresponding design and construction standards. To improve the application of cellular steel frame, key technology of the cellular steel frame structure should be studied in order to provide reference and basis for corresponding design standards and engineering applications.Based on the practical application of cellular steel frame and the existing cellular steel joint test finite, element analysis software ANSYS is used for static performance analysis. Through changing control parameters according to different high-expansion ratio of the cellular steel joint with different shape of hole, the bearing capacity was discussed and concluded. The major parts of the text are as follows:The characteristics and research application of the cellular component at home and abroad have been discussed and analyzed, the shortcomings existing has been pointed out that the content and research method in this paper are made.Finite element models are set up by ANSYS software on basis of the existing cellular steel joint test. The finite element calculation results is Consistent with Static test results in failure modes, load force-displacement curve .Through comparing to test data, the calculation models of finite element analysis has been demonstrated correct.The influence of joint static properties caused by the control parameters d and e with different holes such as hexagonal, round or square in beam webs are analyzed. The range of d and e with different holes in cellular steel joint is obtained.Strength of different cellular steel joints are analyzed, and the intensity formula is established. Finally, the results of this study are summarized and further research direction are provided.
