The performance based seismic design theory is appeared in the 1990's, the seismic design principle request from future earthquakes in architecture can show unpredictable seismic performance level, and will damage causes a loss of control in owner expected levels, and can better reflect the designers are initiative, The seismic design principle is introduced to China aseismatic reinforcement design has important use value.This paper main job has following respects:Through the investigation, combined with the collection, analyzing the Wenchuan earthquake RC frame structure characteristics and causes damage loss, according to the structural damage and the structural damage, and probes into the classification of RC frame structures in the earthquake effect of yield of RC frame mechanism and structure of the earthquake damage and loss of earthquake damage, using qualitative and quantitative description of displacements interstory drift of aseismic design based on the performance of a quantitative index.This paper expounds the background and development process of nonlinear static pushover analysis method(Pushover), detailed introduces the basic theories, basic work and basic assumptions of Pushover analysis method, discussed systematically the practical application capacity spectrum method should be paid attention to in the process of six problems. Given how to structure for the equivalent single-degree-of-freedom system the basic method; Sap2000 Pushover analysis are provided in the process of plastic hinge restoring force model and how to choose appropriate plastic hinge restoring force model for Pushover analysis; Offers a variety of common lateral force, and briefly discussed loading mode of loading range; Based on the ATC - 40 response spectrum based on China to standard response spectrum into; change the response spectrum based on the ATC-40 into the response spectrum based on China specification. Put the demand and capacity spectrum on the same coordinate, and get the performance point of the frame structure. This method introduces how to evaluation the first frame structure performace through the performance point.Article relatively discussed systematically the implementing steps of aseismatic reinforcement ment based on the performance. Select a RC frame structure is slightly damaged in the Wenchuan earthquake as an example, and evaluate this frame structure seismic resistance performance with finite element software Sap2000, based on cannot satisfy the owner of the expected performance targets after the earthquake resistant code adjust, combining the Pushover analysis first framework, especially the position of plastic hinge, given the five different seismic strengthening scheme to reinforce the first structure. Through the new framework reinforced anti-seismic performance evaluation based on the performance, can understand the new frame structure's level under the corresponding earthquakes. And make the damage of structure, influence of function and lose of seismic damage meet the expectations performance requirements of the owner. Meanwhile, pushover analysis respectively to the similar strengthening scheme, can be compared to the seismic strengthening schemes, and optimize the seismic strengthening schemes.Through the above discussion and research, applied the RC frame structure based on the performance of the seismic strengthening to reality buildings, aim to seek security,economic and reasonable seismic strengthening schemes.
