In recent years, with the energy crisis and the increasing environmental pollution, human society is facing unprecedented challenges. To meet the human needs for energy, there are more and more people paying attention to renewable and clean energy, such as solar energy and wind energy. Therefore, this paper takes the capacity credit of large-scale wind farm and micro-grid technology as research object, mainly completes the following work:(1) This paper studies the output characteristics of wind turbines in depth, proposes the strategy evaluating Wind Farm Performance through capacity credit. The traditional evaluation of the wind farm takes generating capacity as the standard, people always evaluate the performance of wind farms by A wind farm annual generating capacity and the resulting economic benefits. This paper argues that the output of wind turbines is volatile, and its impact on the power system should not only consider its generating capacity but also consider the impact of the power system reliability. The same annual energy output of wind turbines and conventional thermal power generating units, because the power output of wind turbine is unstable, and its contribution to the reliability of power system is much less than conventional thermal power units. Therefore, this paper takes power system reliability analysis as the mean to calculate the capacity credit of wind farm.(2) By studying the wind characteristics and the requirement of power system reliability, present a method that combines a long-term wind speed prediction with short-term wind speed fitting prediction generates the model of wind power system reliability analysis. We need one-year hourly wind speed data to analyze power system reliability, due to the number is large, many Experts have worked out many kinds of method to fit speed, such as:Welbull distribution, normal distribution, etc.. However, the annual wind speed obtained by this method is very small fluctuations, and it can not reflect the seasonal differences. Therefore, this paper uses time series method to predict the range of average wind speed, in the same time, we analyze the power system reliability though hourly wind speed obtained by the Weibull distribution.(3) By studying the characteristics of micro-grid, we present an algorithm of micro-grid energy management system that based on improved genetic algorithm. The large-scale wind farms not only bring economic benefits in the future, but also cause a huge impact to the grid. In order to use the new energy economically, people put forward a new method that integrated with distributed power and load to make use of new energy sources. Therefore, after analyzing the power characteristics of micro-grid, this paper thinks that the real terms of the micro-grid energy management is multi-objective optimization problem, and presents an improved genetic algorithm to solve this multi-objective optimization problem.
