The power grid interconnection show advantages in ensuring the safe and stable operation of grid and realizing the optimal allocation of resources, but in terms of residential power quality, caused by a lack of capital, technology and so on limit is still slightly. Besides, the depletion of conventional energy, seri-ous environmental pollution also restricted the economic development. In view of this, environment friendly and flexible DG (distributed generation) become the effective way to solve the problem above. However, the output of DG is intermittence and randomicity, which adds difficulty to the operation of the power grid and dispatching. Because of the energy management system, the micro-grid can accessible to kinds of compatible DG by the power matching between the energy storage devices, a variety of power supply and load. From the view of reliability, this paper assess the impact of DG access to distribution network and the reliability of micro-grid including DG and storage.At first, this paper proposes an algorithm to evaluate the reliability of mi-cro-grid, including the network topology analysis and reliability evaluation using the Monte Carlo simulation. Due to the micro-grid for the characteristics of multiple power supply in the operation, using the Shortest Paths Algorithm to determine the path from the failure to the source. By analyzing the element properties and network connectivity, the island separation is developed, then obtain the load and the power of each area. Finally, using the algorithm to as-sess the micro-grid’s reliability and get the reliability index of the system.Secondly, according to the time sequence of the wind speed, this paper select the ARIMA model to simulate wind speed. Considering the fan parame-ters and the influence of wake effect of wind speed, wind farm output model is established. Energy storage device play role in the micro-grid’s energy man-agement system. The establishing of energy storage device operation model is based on the mechanism of DG with energy storage device and the character-istics of energy storage.Finally, using the algorithm to assess the micro-grid’s reliability. This pa-per builds the model of micro-grid by adding distributed generation and energy storage device to the IEEE RBTS BUS6F4test system, and evaluates the re-liability of micro-grid. The evaluation results show the validity of the method proposed in this paper.
