VI is Visual Identity.which is the most disseminat and impact part of CIS (Corporate Identity System). Visual transmission design discipline was established by Ulm in German,and the conception of VI design was proposed and applied by American in 1960. In fact, VI system were applied in the earliest bank "Piaohao",and the most famous ones were in Shanxi,in which the constructions, signboard, banners, bills, seals, and even were fundamental modes of VI identifiable visual system.At the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the Foreign bank began to develop in China, and began to competite with the native banks, when the characteristics of the banks were this time various banks' characteristic mainly reflected in constructions. In the period of reform and open, VI identifiable visual system was first propose by the Bank of China in 1984.Afterward, facing with the more and more stronger competition,â…¥visual design system was bagan to be used by various banks. The modern VI design system has the promotion to the development of commercial banks, and also has disadvantagements,and there were more promotion than disadvantagements. But facing more demands of economical and humanities development, the disadvantagements of VI design system appears gradually, particularly to the limition of art design indoor and outdoor for Commercial bankBased on the problems above, this paper intend to study the relations and the trend of development beetwen the VI design and the environmental art design for Commercial banks, and tend to obtain the appearance of design and seek the reason and the law of development and the methods.This article is mainly made up of the following parts:In the first chapter, the background, the motive and the goal of the topic was proposed, and the background, the motive and the goal of the topic, and expound the significance, the content, the method of the research was carried out brieflyIn the second chapter. the art design for the environment of Commercial bank and the conception, the content, the characteristic and historical development of VI design.In the third chapter, related standards and the promoter action of modern Commercial bank for VI identifiable visual system, taking the Shanghai Pudong bank for example, and the trend of the development of the VI design and art design for the environment of Commercial bank.The fourth chapter is the significant part:Based on the part ahead, the characteristics of VI design and art design for the environment of Commercial bank, from begenning to present, and development imagine of the design for selling areas of Commercial bank,based on the problems of the design for Commercial bank.The fifth chapter was the conclusion of the paper, Commercial bank's design language was proposed based on the studies above.The goal of the article was that that proposing the view and the mentality to the environmental art design of Commercial bank environmental, exploring method of art design indoor and outdoor for Commercial bank,based on the research above. Finally was anticipating the continuously development of Commercial bank,so each customer could be satisfied.
