When we enter the 21st century,with the development of urbanization and mechanization, the public service of Xian is facing new challenge,so we need to make a further study for its public service to find out its potential problem, then give some constrctive suggestions to make the public service match with the city's degree,situation and scale.By this,we can meet the increasing need of its traffic and the need of being the centre city of the west.At the same time,we can guarantee its socioeconomic performance and the delightful living condition.The oretical principle of this paper is geography, regional economics, information economics, urban sociology, urban planning and so on.The research technique of this paper is field investigation method, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, comparative analysis and case study By using the oretical principle and research technique,we can analyse it thoroughly. The paper uses the public service density, route line density, route line repetition coefficient, transportation speed,the time of waiting for a bus, vehicle availability rate and some other public service index to describe the current situation of Xian and analyse the influencing factors,and then find out the conditioned factors.So we can put forward the strategic proposal to improve the public service quality.The main conclusions of this paper are those:firstly, In recent years,the public service quality of Xian has improved quickly,the quantity of the buses is increasing, public transportation route and the location of station is becoming more and more reasonable, the quantity of bus lane is becoming larger and larger, and the constructing level is becoming more and more advanced.On the whole the quality of its public service is good and the future of it is bright,but at the same time there are some problems. Secondly, At present,the centre of the Xian public service line is the wall of the Ming Dynasty area, outside of the ring to by the fractal structure with radiation. Lines are mainly concentrated in ancient city, small village area within 11 regions, but the overall coverage is not high. Thirdly,taking xi'an railway station as an example, analyzes the city bus hub that still exist in long time, etc. Car traffic transfer time is long, transfer convenience differential and hub problems such as construction lagging.Finally, Xi'an TV tower-north bus lines exist long intersection delay, congestion is especially serious especially in rush hour traffic,so suggest setting bus dedicated lanes.This paper takes advantage of the theory of the public service line, bus station and the appropriative lane to study the public service of Xian to provide some overall, systematic, objective assess,and to provide some referenced suggestion for the future of the public service of Xian.
