The rapid economic development of modern society led to the energy and environmental crisis, which requires us to eliminate the dependence on traditional energy and gradually increase the development and utilization of renewable energy. With the characteristics of non-polluting, solar energy resources reserves large (to say inexhaustible), various forms of solar energy development has been carried out. Grid-connected photovoltaic power generation, which is the development trend of future energy use, has become a solution to social energy crisis and a major breakthrough in the direction of the environmental crisis.A basic set of solar photovoltaic power generation system is normally composed of solar panels, solar controller, inverter and batteries (blocks). This paper outlines the composition of solar photovoltaic power generation system and introduces domestic application of solar photovoltaic technology at present. According to the needs of different occasions, solar photovoltaic power generation system are classified.In order to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation system and reduce the cost of photovoltaic power generation, this paper studies the control methods of tracking brackets and solar photovoltaic maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Trajectory tracking mode with angle measurement as a feedback and improved mode of maximum power point tracking are proposed in this article. In order to solve the problem of harmonic and reactive power change in grid, this paper integrates the harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation into the photovoltaic inverter, which can achieve effective dynamic power control of grid. The effects of maximum power point tracking, harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation are simulated in this article, and simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithm. The idea, combining solar tracking and maximum power point tracking, and the innovation, integrating harmonic suppression, reactive power compensation with grid inverter control, has some inspiration and practical value to the photovoltaic control study.
