With the globe energy crisis and the promotion of emission reduction plan, introduction of large-scale renewable energy to microgrid has been a major development trend. The grid-connected photovoltaic generation system has been deeply researched and popularized abroad for its clean, low noise, wide range of application and other advantages. As a major mode of power supply for future, the power quality of microgrid has important value on the study. Advanced control strategy and improvement measures need to be seek to satisfy users' requirement.Different to traditional energy resources, the intermittent and uncertainty of photovoltaic power output, the complexity for control methods of converters and other reasons brings new features of power quality to microgrid. Through studying the structure, operating characteristics and control strategy of photovoltaic system, this paper analyzed the power quality problems and the influence factors, proposed some measures to improve the quality of power supply. In recent years, a large number of nonlinear loads have been connected to microgrid, bringing serious pollution of harmonic and reactive current. Based on it, photovoltaic system has been further improved, achieving functions of power supply, harmonic control and reactive compensation. The micro power sources undertook more responsibility for power quality management, improvd power quality of microgrid from source of it and reduced the investments of other compensator facilities. Based on above researches, this paper established mathematical model of photovoltaic system and microgrid on PSCAD/EMTDC environment, through the simulation to analyze power quality problems and the effects of improvement measures.
