Because of the characteristics of simple structure, high reliability, low cost and easy maintenance, induction motor is widely used in our country's industrial and agricultural production field. With the rapid development of our country's industrial system, single capacity of induction motors increases unceasingly. Therefore, the load of drive becomes more and more complicated. Motor faults not only damage the motor itself, but also make the motor suddenly shut down, causing production collapse and resulting in huge economic loses. When the motor is in abnormal operating, it will cause some electric parameters (voltage, current) changes and these quantities of change is important information to test and judge the motor fault. The stator current signal has the smallest impact of external environment compared with other being measured parameters. Therefore, this paper uses stator current as research object and analysis will be made from different angles adopting FFT and ARM (The Amplitude Recovery Method). With the rapid development of computer technology and increasingly wide application of the embedded system, miniaturization and intelligent will be the development direction for the technique of motor fault diagnosis.
