AC drives have been universally applied in industry. Especially induction motor using V/F control system has been extensively used in various fields of national life. But the traditional inverter control system exist some issues, such as non-sinusoidal current waveform, big noise in low carrier, current waveform oscillation with light load. So it has considerable practical significance for industrial development to have research on key technology of universal inverters.Some theoretical research and practical application of the key technologies are studied in this paper. The paper includes five parts, and the details are as following:In the first part, the background and significance of the research work are introduced. Then the history and development of the general inverters abroad are viewed, finally the origin and significance of the subject are proposed.The topology and basic theory of inverters are analyzed firstly in the second part. Then the paper analyzes the main functions of the inverters and introduces the structure of general inverters.In the third part, Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation technology is studied first and it is analyzed to the result of Matlab. Also the actual tests are done to prove the effectiveness.In the fourth part, the paper studies the dead-time compensation of inverters. The paper analyses the reason and the affects of dead-time. Solutions using software and hardware are raised. Also the actual tests are done to prove the effectiveness.Finally, Research of Soft PWM and stability improvement of V/F controlled induction motor with light load are done. The paper analyses different random method and comes up with an improved one; based on reactive current compensation, a way to eliminate oscillation of motor current is raised. Also the actual tests are done to prove the effectiveness.
