The development on integrated relay is based on development of digital substation, Ethernet technology, and computes. The Redundancy information and efficient calculation can help creating novel algorithms in the integrated relay system. Digital power system development requires the safety and reliability become into a higher level. As a new principle of relays, integrated relay get a lot of advantages in communication and algorithms. This paper focused on the integrated relay study, tried to research the prototype. At the same time, the paper mainly studied on the power transformer protection algorithms and optimization based on the integrated relay platform, and completed the transformer protection function on integrated protection platform.The achievement of integrated relay has been introduced in this paper, and it also described all the work such as the protection prototype study, the configuration of server, the software, the software flow of integrated relay, the optimization of integrated relay platform. This paper studied on how to building the function thread in integrated relay software, and how to configuration the thread function and modules. Moreover, the integrated relay Matlab test platform has been designed.and the transformer protection function has been completed, at the end, compared integrated relay with other relay device, it summarize the advantages and disadvantages of integrated relay.This paper also researched on the transformer relay based on the integrated protection, analyzed the protection device and differential relay, mainly study on transformer inrush current. It has been discussed for many kinds of algorithms, point out the disadvantages of these algorithms. This paper puts forward a novel method which is called 'Inrush Composite Restrain Algorithm' in order to indentify the inrush, this method can be realize through enough information and calculation ability, which is the advantages of integrated relay platform. The algorithm has been transplanted to integrated relay system to optimize by the integrated relay algorithms. And through the analysis, this paper also design new scheme for transformer circulation calculation, improve the calculation algorithm based on the transformer equations. The entire algorithms and optimization based on integrated relay platform has been described in this paper.
