The main energy conversion of turbomachinery is completed in the flow passage components such as impeller. There're great significance for the design of high efficiency impeller and the energy-saving of centrifugal pump to understand the internal mechanism of flow in the turbomachinery. The rapid development of CFD technology provides a powerful means for in-depth study of flow field in the high-speed inducer centrifugal pump. Therefore, three-dimensional steady numerical simulation and experimental methods are used to study the internal flow field and external characteristic performance curve of centrifugal pump at different flows and speeds. Main research contents are as follows:1)The hydraulic design methods of the flow passage components such as inducer, complex impeller and volute is given and used to done the hydraulic design, and a high-speed inducer centrifugal pump is manufactured by these hydraulic design. The three-dimensional solid modeling of inducer, complex impeller and volute is completed by three-dimensional modeling software Pro/e. Based on multi-block grid, the flow passage components of high-speed inducer centrifugal pump is meshed by unstructured grid which is adaptable to the complex structure. The boundary condition settings are also given.2)Using the Spalar-Allmaras turbulence model and the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Storkes equations, the three-dimensional turbulent flow fields in high-speed inducer centrifugal pump are analyzed numerically at the speed of 2900r-1min-1 and different flow rates of 0.3Q, 1.0Q (design point flow rate), 1.2Q. It shows the distribution of velocity and static pressure and the internal flow chart within the inducer, compares the distribution of velocity and static pressure at the different flow rates, and shows the distribution of static pressure near the scroll and inlet of volute and velocity along the circumferential of the inlet of volute at the design discharge point.3)The three-dimensional turbulent flow fields in high-speed inducer centrifugal pump are analyzed numerically at the different speeds of 2900 r-1min-1,3500 r-1min-1,4500 r-1min-1 and 5000 r-1min-1. It shows the distribution of velocity and static pressure within the inducer and impeller at the design discharge point. The external characteristic performance curves at the different speeds are obtained by numerical simulation. 4)The experimental research of external characteristic is carried out at the different speeds of 2900 r·min-1,3500 r·min-1,4500 r·min-1 and 5000 r·min-1. The performance curves are obtained and compared with the result of numerical simulation.
