Absorber with cavities and wedge absorber are two common used absorbing structure. Contain air cavities in wedge absorber can obtain higher acoustic absorbing coefficients and wider bandwidth of sound absorption in high frequencies, and improves its sound absorbing performance in low frequencies. It's more possible for the submarine to be detected by sonar as the sonar's frequencies lower and lower. Therefore, it is important for theoretics and engineering to investigate the acoustic absorbing performance of underwater absorber of low frequencies.The finite element model of the undewater plate absorber with cavity and the underwater wedge absober with cavity were founded. Through finite region intercept to simulate infinite fluid region, the finite element model of the fluid was used. Fluid-Structure coupling model system was built through set the Fluid-Structure Interface. The acoustic absorbing coefficients of the absorber were obtained by calculating the complex displaces of the nodes on the surface of the absorber and the complex sound pressures of the nodes in fluid.In the paper, the acoustic absorbing capability of the underwater plate absorber with cavity and the underwater wedge absorber with cavity has been investigated use finite element analysis software ANSYS and mathematical softawre MATLAB. The effect of the Young's modulus, Possion's ratio and the hydrostatic pressure to the absorbing capability of the underwater absorber were studied. An underwater absorbing structure acoustic simulation software has been developed by using the VB software, which can call the macro files of ANSYS and MATLAB.
