Gearbox is one of the core components of wind turbine. It's working performance during the running state plays a big role in the wind power systems. In recent years, along with the unceasing enhancement of single load power for wind turbine and the special operating environment, the request of dynamic characteristics for wind power gearbox becomes higher and higher. The research on vibration and noise of gearbox transmission has become one important subject in the localization process of wind power equipments.Along with the rapid development of computer technology, as a powerful numerical analysis tool, the finite element method plays an important role in the research of gear transmission system. In order to reveal the rules and specialties of gearbox system coupling vibration, this paper do researchs on dynamic characteristics of 2MW wind power gearbox by using the method of finite element method. The finite coupling model of gearbox for wind turbine, which includes the gears, transmission shafts, bearing and cabinets, is established based on considering gear time varying stiffness, gear running clearance,gear mesh impact and wind load variation. Considering the dynamical excitation, the vibration response of gearbox is imitating by the method of mode superposition, then discuss its random vibration spectrum characteristics. Get the dynamic performance index of vibration displacement, velocity, acceleration and power spectral density for the test points on gearbox, then comparing the simulation data and experimental results. The research results show that:the method can evaluating the dynamic characteristics of gearbox accurately. It is favourable for designing and manufacturing gearboxes with excellent dynamic characteristics.
