The Analysis And Evaluation Of Human Factors For Ship Collision Avoidance

Because of the complexity of marine transportation system, the cause of ship collision accident are often complex. For a long time, the focus is how to use the technical means to reduce collision accidents, ignoring the function of the human factors in the study of the collision avoidance of ship. However, the statistics show that most accidents are caused by human factors. So human factors are the decisive factors to ship collision avoidance, it is necessary to study the human factors in the ship collision avoidance field.Based on the correlative research of domestic and foreign scholars, this paper analyzes and summarizes the definition, character and manifestation of human factors. Then from the view of safety management, behavioral science, physiology and psychology, combined with the principle and characteristics of ship collision avoidance, this paper makes a classification of the human factors and establishes the evaluation index system. The weights and membership degrees of indexes are the precondition evaluation, so this paper studies them and determines their calculatingly methods. Then according to the principle of fuzzy mathematics, the analysis and evaluation model of human factors for ship collision avoidance is established with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and the validity of the model is verified by an example. It is helpful for the sailor to understand their own quality, for manager to identify risks and eliminating hidden dangers in time, and reduce the probability of ship collision caused by the human factors effectively.
