Security Monitoring System Based On Zigbee For Gantry Crane Loading-capacity

In the process of China's socialist modernization, cranes play a very important role. As one of lifting devices, gantry crane is widely used in the industry areas such as mining enterprises, transportation, building construction and etc. However, Because of the flaw of gantry crane design and human errors caused by aloft work. Gantry crane is very susceptible to occurring accidents. In view of this, we study and design a set of security monitoring system based on Zigbee for gantry crane loading-capacity.This paper adopts top-down and modular approach to design the entire system. The whole system is mainly divided into four module parts, they are signal acquisition, loading-capacity limiter, wireless communication and PC monitor. The signal acquisition module is responsible to collect and process the lifting weight signal of gantry crane by pressure sensor. As the core of the system, the loading-capacity completes the task of data display, data processing, output control, parameters setting and communication. It takes the high-performance ATmegal6 as the micro MCU. The Zigbee wireless communication module adopts CC2530 low-power chip to achieve the remote wireless communication between the loading-capacity limiter and PC. The PC monitor module uses Visual Basic language to program and takes charge of display, storage, analysis as well as drawing of data. It is very convenient for the staff to conduct the macro-control. The software system which adopts uC/OS-II RTOS simplifies the procedure and increases the utilization rate of system resources. It greatly improves the stability of system by taking measure of anti-jamming design.The actual debug verifies that the system has the features of accurate data acquisition and process, real-time control output as well as friendly PC software. And it successfully achieves the desired function and has good prospect and value of promotion for improving the safety of gantry crane.
