The stability analysis of soil slopes is an important research problem in cilv engineering. In present, the limit equilibrium mothod (LEM) and finite element mothod (FEM) are mostly usurally used. In LEM, the shape and location of slip sueface are often needed to be assumed firstly, and the stress-strain relationship is not considered, then it may be inconsistent with the actual problem. The result with FEM is more accurately than LEM, but the FEM can not simulate the dynamic of slope failure process. The partical flow code (PFC) as one of the distinct elemnet mothods (DEM), make up for the deficiencies in above methods. According to PFC theory, the thesis consist of the following contents.1,The impacts of partical microscopic parameters on soil macroscopic features.has been analyzed by biaxial test numerical simulation. The relationship between particle microscopic and soil macroscopic parameters has been founded. And it provides a basis to choose microscopic parameters for the PFC model of soil slope.2,Single-layer homogeneous and layered PFC models of soil slope have been made, and the simulation results have been compared with traditional methods.3,The impacts of partical microscopic parameters on slope failure modes have been shown. Thus, it reveals the failure mechanism of slope on microscopic level.
