With the continuous development of the motor, multi-phase motor has been getting people's attention. In the multi-phase motor, six phase induction motor has a representative structure. It has become the focus of research scholars and experts at home and abroad, In this paper, three-phase induction motor and six-phase induction motor for example, with the capacity of the two motor electromagnetic torque compared. According to the need for vector control, respectively, different coordinate systems established mathematical model of three-phase motor, starting from the principle of model reference adaptive system is theoretically derived, in particular, speed estimation and rotor flux links a detailed theoretical link analysis, completed a three-phase motor model reference adaptive vector control MATLAB simulation. Designed trapezoidal phase current control of a six-phase induction motor, completed the six-phase induction motor mathematical modeling, and detailed analysis of the six-phase induction motors various air-gap MMF distribution, Air gap magnetic field strength of the motor has been studied, and the six-phase motor system is simulated. Finally, researched three-phase induction motor vector control system and trapezoidal phase current six-phase induction motor drive system in the experiment, in the suddenly applied load, the same sudden torque current situation of the two motor control systems were studied experimentally, compared the three-phase and six-phase induction motor under the conditions in which the response of electromagnetic torque.From the numerical simulation and experimental results verify the six-phase induction motor electromagnetic torque ripple have high frequency, small amplitude, the advantages of high stability, high torque generated by the six-phase motor in the same current, Through Compared with three-phase motor so that people on the six-phase motor as well as multi-phase motor has a more in-depth knowledge and understanding.
