Thermal power plant is in predominance in China's power structure, especially in the northwest arid desert area. It brings serious-pollution to soil, air, and water, the problem has become a focus of attention. Besides reduce emissions by use of scientific technology, another way to improve the environment of thermal power plant is improving the habitat with pollution stress by green space's repairing effect to contaminants in soil, air, and water, the main part of green space is green plant. Therefore, greenland construction become an important task in the environment construction of thermal power plant. The subjects of this study are Turpan and Kashi thermal power plants, main purpose is to study and propose basic principles and guiding theories of greenland construction in thermal power plant at arid desert area, and construct a basic model for it..Environment quality of thermal power plant in arid desert area was analyzed comprehensively in this study, the features and functions of Greenland were described, and we combined the greenland construction in Turpan and Kashi thermal power plants, proposed greenland construction theories of thermal power plant in arid desert area and the principles of plant selection, recommended the indigenous tree species, which can resist the soil, air, and water pollution from thermal power plant. Combining the sites condition and environment pollution situations of two power plants' greenland construction, we proposed the greenland construction model in thermal power plant at arid desert area, the layout was according to production function and partitioned construction according to the environment quality of power plants. The focus is on wind-sand protection, clean air, water and soil, microclimate regulation and such ecological functions of Greenland. In greenland maintenance and management, we expatiate the key technologies in it from the planting of plants, windbreak, water saving, changing soil and high-temperature processing.This paper aims to provide theoretical guidance and technical demonstration for Greenland construction in thermal power plants at arid desert region and other similar factories and enterprises.
