Urban rail transit is in the high-speed development period, the energy recycling of urban rail vehicle braking is not only a direct relation with the economy, but also play an important part for building China's energy-saving, low-carbon society. Supercapacitor, as a direct current (DC) energy storage element , is characteristic of big power density, long cycle life, high charge and discharge efficiency, easy energy management and so on, therefore supercapacitor attracts the special attention and is deemed to a promising future to apply for recycling energy released by vehicle braking.This paper researches on the key technology for the ground-based supercapacitor energy storage system. First, By analysing a various of absorption device and its working principle, supercapacitor energy storage device is determined for a research object, and then a mathematical model for dc power supply circuit, including super capacitor energy storage device, is proposed. Second, according to the function of energy storage device, bi-directional half-bridge DC/DC topology is used for the converting module. Thirdly, give a detailed analysis of qualification for energy storage device charging and discharging by means of device purpose, which keep network voltage steady and cyclic utilize braking energy. Based on analyzing, convertor's working mode is on single-ended,time-regulated,also keeping network voltage steady.According to the working mode, the paper set up the math model , and suitable control strategies are provided and analysed. Simulation result is presented to show the fasibility and steady. Fourly,according to parameters feed by urban rail train regenerative braking, the paper detaily design the energy storage device main unit parameters and using of designed parameters simulate the single-sided power,single train regenerative braking .
