Reactive power optimization is an important means to improve the system of economy, security, and power quality of power system. In this paper, dynamic optimization of power system and power system calculations will be explored and tried. Concerning the conventional power system power flow calculation, optimization model of reactive power, reactive power optimization using genetic algorithm, dynamic reactive power optimization.Firstly, the static and dynamic model of reactive power optimization is to be presented. Power flow calculation is the basic calculation of steady-state analysis. In this paper, based on summing up a variety of conventional methods, I propose a fast and practical algorithm--fixed Jacobian power flow algorithm, also compare the pros and cons of various algorithms by several examples, which create a good condition for further research.Secondly, this paper analyzes in detail the simple genetic algorithm's framework and proposes improvements for the various components of the algorithm. an improved decimal coded genetic algorithm is proposed. Combined with the characteristics of reactive power optimization problem, I analyze the improved algorithm application in this problem. By comparing with the simple genetic algorithms and improved algorithms in other literature, the results show that the algorithm's superiority in convergence rate and optimal solution quality.Finally, given to the power system itself is a dynamic load system, the control equipment's operating life and labor intensity constraints, a dynamic optimization method which takes into account the previous action value of control equipments and load rate is proposed in this paper. the calculation results verified the validity and superiority of the method.
