With the development of the road construction, the road tubular pile composite foundation is used widely because it not only combines both advantages of the tubular pile and the pile-reinforced earth composite foundation, but also has the properties of economical and efficient feature, high load-bearing capacity and good environment effect. As one new type of pile, the road rubular pile composite foundation is not sufficiently studied.Based on the existing research, the load behavior, load bearing and displacement were systematically studied by the ABAQUS software, and the main work incudes:(1) With the ABAQUS software, the relationship of the embankment load, flexible load and rigid load was discussed, and the influencing factors on the embankment were analyzed initially.(2) Based on the geology of the engineering practice, the total model of the road rubular pile composite foundation was adopted and the bearing mechanism of the road rubular pile composite foundation was summarized with the numerical simulation result.(3) The single pile axisymmetric model was adopted for analysis the pile-soil-geogrid and soil consolidation:soil arching effect, membrane effect and soil core effect. For the soil arching effect, the influencing factors of embankment height, the soil consolidation, pile-soil modulus ratio, the number and the stiffness of the geogrid were analysised; For membrane effect, the influencing factors of soil consolidation, the soil elastic modulus, the number of geogrid were analysised; For soil core effect, the influencing factors of soil core elastic modulus, the subgrade elastic modulus, internal friction angleφand cohesion c were analysised.The displacement characteristic of the road tubular pile composite foundation was discussed from the settling curve, time effect and the layer effect. Then, the changeable engineering parameters of the pile length, pile spacing, the cover, the geogrid and the pile modulus were analysised for the influce on the settlement.
