Concrete materials have nearly 200 years history, because it has high compressive strength, elastic modulus, durability and high temperature resistant, easy modification, good plasticity, and it can be used in any scale casting. So the carbon fiber concrete has been applied more and more. Carbon fiber reinforced concrete (CFRC) is a kind of multifunctional concrete based composite material by uniformly admixing short carbon fibers to concrete, and it not only has good mechanical characters but the admixing of carbon fiber enable the samples have electrical conductivity. And it has perception of internal stress,strain and damage degree, compression sensibility, temperature sensibility, electromagnetic shielding, and other functions. The resistance of carbon fiber reinforced concrete changes when loading changes, so the load can be monitored by the changes of resistance, especially can be applied to traffic monitoring and weighting system. But in order to further research on this application, in this research the carbon fiber reinforced concrete specimens in triaxial compression by embedding in concrete component, make up the research of relations between load and electricity by other researchers.In this study, the innovation points are the carbon fiber reinforced concrete specimens in triaxial compression, then study the resistance with the load changes, mainly providing a theory basis for the application of this material in traffic monitoring and weighting system in future. This research includes:1,An all-around comment is made on the study of CFRC all over the world, and put forward application range of CFRC. The preparation techniques of CFRC are studied. The problem of uniform dispersion of CF is solved by mixing methylcellulose and silica fume.2,Study the resistance of carbon fiber reinforced concrete in one-way compression with monotonic loading and cyclic loading. The results show that the loading and resistance changes match well. The resistance of CFRC can reflect quantitatively the load on it3,Study the resistance of carbon fiber reinforced concrete in triaxial compression with monotonic loading and cyclic loading. The results show that the loading and resistance changes match well. The resistance of CFRC can exactly reflect quantitatively the load on it. So the CFRC can be used as compression sensor in traffic monitoring and weighting system4,Compare the compression sensibility of the carbon fiber reinforced concrete specimens with the same batch in triaxial compression and one-way compression. The results show that with the same load,the change of resistance in triaxial compression variation range is larger, is more obvious and more regularly.CFRC is a structural and functional material. So the application of carbon fiber reinforced concrete in structures not only improves the mechanical characters, but also have electrical conductivity. And can reflect the state of the structures currently. The above study findings can help to understand the smart property and the mechanism of electric conduction of CFRC, and it is also important to put CFRC to engineering as soon as possible.
