With the rapid development of tall building construct, the frame-core wall structure with the strengthen story has been used more and more in the real project. The amount and position of strengthen story combined with refuge story and equipment story may make good use of architecture space and strengthen the renting and sale competition of architectures. The more strengthen story designed, the more even the construct can be stressed, and weak story can't be formed easily. While strengthen story being designed, it should be taken many kinds of position and amount into account to reach the most reasonable plan and meet the lowest requirement of inter-story displacement angle in the code.There will be kinds of problems in designing strengthen story, so it is meaningful for the project design to study the stress and destroy characteristics of this kind of construct system. Respecting this, this research based on the previous study results explores the following mission.Taking a 50-story building of frame-core wall structure with strengthen story as the example established 3 dimension finite element model by ETABS to analyze changes of the overall rigidity of construct, components internal force, low-level period and formation in the condition of different position and amount of strengthen story in details. Reasonably designing one, two, three and four strengthen story respectively and comparing different positions of the story, and the internal force of construct, period and displacement of such construct data will be observed, according to this comparison analysis, the function of horizontal strengthen story was revealed. Meanwhile, using ETABS to do time-history analysis of this construct, the construct function curve of different designs of strengthen story in different earthquake can be obtained.The pushover analysis of 3 dimension of this model were done by using finite element software, MIDAS Gen. By changing the amount of strengthen story and side direction loading mode, the research put the focus on the appearance order of plastic hinges of frame-core wall structure with strengthen story and changes of their position under the rarely earthquake, the affection of adjacent story caused by strengthen story, whether the weak story being appeared between adjacent story; according to the construct function curve, compared the changes of performance point and analyzed the influence of P-â–³effect. The destroy process of the construct, the affect of the position of strengthen story design on the appearance order of hinges, the function of strengthen story during the destroy could be gotten under the rarely earthquake.
